– Since 2005, the Portes de l’Eure Community Tourist Office in its status as an industrial and commercial establishment, an ‘EPIC’ (state-controlled entity of an industrial or commercial nature), has been charged with carrying out the following responsibilities and missions by the Portes de l’Eure Borough Council, (the Cape)

– Welcoming and providing information to tourists visiting the area administered by the Portes de l’Eure Borough Council,

– Ensuring the promotion of tourism in the area administered by the Portes de l’Eure Borough Council,

– Implementing the tourism development strategy as devised by the Portes de l’Eure Borough Council within the framework of its conglomerate social and economic development policy,

– Contributing to ensure the co-ordination of actions carried out between the various partners involved in local tourism development, giving priority to and developing the synergy with local professionals from the tourism sector,

– Implementing performance indicators designed to monitor tourist movement in the area,

– Designing, promoting and selling tourism products,

– Managing and/or opearting tourist sites, leisure or cultural sites which are linked to tourism on behalf of the Portes de l’Eure Borough Council,

– Contributing to the area’s tourist animation and organizing either directly or in partnership with other bodies one or several cultural, tourist and also sportive events, e.t.c.

– Collecting the resort fee applied to the Portes de l’Eure Borough Council area since 2010.

Guest rooms: 0.75 €
No star or label hotels and furnished lettings: 0.50 €
1 or 2 star (or any other label) camping sites, caravan sites, open air accommodation and pleasure ports / river accommodation: 0.20 €
Collective accommodation: 0.20 €
River cruise boats/ Other river accommodation (pleasure ports): 0.20 €

Categories exempt from resort fee payment:

– All persons aged under 18
– Seasonal workers employed in the area who possess a contract
– Persons benefitting from emergency accommodation or who are being rehoused temporarily
– Persons occupying premises for which the weekly rent is lower than 50 €
