jardin_remarquableThe ‘Clos normand’ has an acre-long garden which is covered with thousands of flowers and also contains an apple orchard and a vegetable garden. Claude Monet bought this patch of land situated between the little railway line and the road known as ‘Le Chemin du Roy’, thanks to which he was able to dig his ‘water garden’, where he built the elegantly-designed Japanese bridge in 1895, and which is today completely re-constructed. This site has, in fact, been classified a ‘Remarkable Gardens of France’ by the Committee of Parks and Gardens of France.
